<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a microscope for a surgical operation, which can control light emission of a light emission means to project its indices onto an object to be observed when projection of the indices is required. <P>SOLUTION: This microscope for a surgical operation is equipped with laser diodes 15a, 15b to project indices to the object 25 to be observed by the microscope for the surgical operation and a control circuit to drive the laser diodes 15a, 15b to project indices 28 to 34 onto the surface of the object 25 when focusing of the microscope part 2 of the microscope for a surgical operation is changed.
