<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an order system and an order method capable of serving an ordered item to a seated place of a customer by connecting the customer to a portable terminal, and inutting the order of the item and the seated place to the portable terminal. <P>SOLUTION: The portable terminal 16 is lent to the customer within a restaurant. The order of the item and the seated place are inputted to the portable terminal 16. Although the order is generally inputted after the place to be seated is determined, the order is preliminarily inputted by use of a waiting time in the present invention. The order is temporarily stored in a storage device.
