PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide green tea beverage packed in a hermetically sealed container intended for solving the problem that flavor inherited from green tea beverage is lost or transformed in a treating process such as heat sterilization but is imparted with fresh and heat resistant flavor and taste. SOLUTION: This green tea beverage packed in the hermetically sealed container is formulated with distillate obtained by freezing treating after nipping the raw leaves of the evergreen tree tea plant of the Theaceae family or freezing treating after heat treating the raw leaves after nipping to deactivate enzyme in the tea leaves, and steam distilling the frozen tea leaves.
