PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a navigation technology capable of performing proper navigation, even when present own position information cannot be acquired from GPS or the like, and besides the absolute direction is not known. SOLUTION: This navigation device has a constitution wherein the position of a designated target and the position and the direction of a guide object are acquired by a storage means for storing the position of the target and the position and the absolute direction of the guide object, route information from the guide object to the target is acquired, the absolute direction to be followed at first is determined from the guide object, the relative direction to be followed to the absolute direction of the guide object is determined from the absolute direction and the absolute direction of the guide object, and guide information including the relative direction to be followed to the guide object is produced from the relative direction and the route information and outputted.
