PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a mobile electronic device which can change a display direction adjusting to the angle, even if the relative angle of a first case and a second case is changed, depending on the way of holding the device or its use, and secure proper operability regardless of relative locations of the first and the second cases. SOLUTION: The first case 10, having a telephone receiving part and a main display part 11 and the second case 20, having a telephone transmitting part of the mobile electronic device, are interconnected by a hinge. The cases are made turnable about the axis of rotation 2 being nearly vertical to the surface of the telephone-receiving part or the telephone transmitting part. When the first case 10 is rotated from an opened or a closed state of the device, depending on the rotation angle and the holding angle of the device, the display direction of the main display part 11 on the first case 10 can be changed.
