PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To overcome the problem that since a specific feature amount is localized for each genre of AV content and attention is paid only to a section where feature amount varies, an interesting feature pattern concerning the program structure, e.g. positioning of a scene in the whole work or the whole flow, cannot be extracted and a problem that a structure for not determining a narrow section where attention is paid only to increase/decrease in specific feature amount of each genre but determining the whole work generally is required in order to reply to the viewpoint of a variety of users. SOLUTION: In order to solve the conventional problems, an AV content interesting feature extracting device capable of patterning temporal variation in the interest of an AV content and sorting the AV contents using that pattern is provided.
