PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a projector in which a projected picture is binarized while viewed by operating an operation part or a contour is freely corrected by an FIR filter in accordance with picture data inputted from a plurality of types of information storage medium input devices, and the picture whose contour is clear can be projected. SOLUTION: The projector 10 is provided with a plurality of types of information storage medium input devices 140, a picture reproduction processing part 110 reproducing picture information from the information storage medium input devices 140, a contour correction selection part 250 selecting a system of contour correction of the picture, a contour correction part 220 correcting the contour of the picture based on information from the contour correction selection part 250, a picture processing part 210 outputting picture information whose contour is corrected based on information from the picture reproduction processing part 110 and information from the contour correction part 220, a CPU 260 controlling the picture processing part 210, the contour correction part 220 and the contour correction selection part 250 and the operation part 280 operating the contour correction selection part 250.
