PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To wind continuously each winding by shifting stators so that each salient pole is not stacked when using a pair of ring stators in the stacked state, and to thereby reduce cost. SOLUTION: This rotation angle detector has a constitution formed by providing the first and second ring stators 2, 3 in the shifted state so that each salient pole 4-4e, 5-5e is not stacked mutually, and by winding continuously each winding R1-R2, S1-S3, S2-S4 on each salient pole 4-4e, 5-5e.
