<p>A content distribution system capable of grasping a content distribution status to realize a stable distribution of contents in a content distribution using interpeer communication. A peer acquires a content from a source peer having the content in advance or from another peer that acquired the content from a peer-to-peer network earlier. A node records the acquisition times at which the peers acquired the content or records the acquisition order obtained from those acquisition times, thereby managing the distribution status of the content. The node then gives the peers privileges according to the acquisition times or acquisition order. At this moment, the node calculates the tolls, which are to be charged to the peers having acquired the content, in such a manner that the earlier the acquisition time or acquisition order is, the lower the toll is, as the privileges to be given to the peers.</p> |
