PIXEL CIRCUIT AND ITS DRIVING METHOD, ACTIVE MATRIX DEVICE, AND DISPLAY DEVICE

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide constitution in which an input signal can be deterred from decreasing in gain for a pixel circuit with an added function of compensating characteristic variation of a load element and threshold voltage variation of a transistor.

SOLUTION: A sampling transistor 115 samples an input signal Vsig from a signal line and holds it in a 1st capacity element C112, and a drive transistor 111 drives the load element 117 with a current corresponding to the signal potential held by the 1st capacity element C112. A threshold canceling circuit detects the threshold voltage of the drive transistor 111 prior to the current driving of the load element 117 and makes a 2nd capacity element C111 hold a potential needed to cancel its influence. A bootstrap circuit detects characteristic variation of the load element 117 and automatically adjusts the level of the signal potential held by the 1st capacity element C112 so that its influence is canceled.
