<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an elevator device capable of judging at an early stage a capacity drop due to discharging of a storage battery for use when an elevator encounters a power interruption. <P>SOLUTION: A car 9 of this elevator device is elevated and lowered by supplying to a three-phase induction motor 6 the electric power of the three-phase commercial AC main 1 upon converting the electric power by an inverter 5 at normal times. When the AC main 1 goes in interruption, the power of the storage battery 22 charged by a charger 21 is converted by an inverter 28 and supplied to a control device 14, and also supplied to the inverter 5 through a contact 31 for operating the motor 6. At the end of charging the storage battery 22, the charger 21 stops charging the battery 22. A voltage detector 23 measures the voltage of the battery 22, while a CPU 15 judges the condition of the battery 22. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI |
