PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a cordless telephone device and the calling method of the slave unit in the cordless telephone device which can easily talk with another slave unit, without specifying the number on the part of the user. SOLUTION: The master unit 1 notifies respective unique addresses and names of two or more slave units 2a, 2b, 2c, stored in a memory means 102 to the slave units 2a to 2c by a slave unit information notifying means 103, the slave units 2a to 2c stores the unique addresses and the relating names of the slave units 2a to 2c, notified from the master unit 1 in a slave unit information memory means 205. The slave unit 2a receives other slave units 2b, 2c by specifying the name, according to a slave unit specifying means 206, searches the slave unit information memory means 205 by a slave unit information search means 207 using the specified name, acquires the corresponding unique address, specifies the other slave units 2a, 2b, 2c by the acquired unique address, and conducts communication through a communication means 203.
