PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To shorten ice making time while retaining transparency in regard to an automatic ice maker making transparent ice. SOLUTION: The automatic ice maker is provided with an ice making part 15 freezing supplied water, an ice crushing member 29 crushing ice made by the ice making part 15, an ice crushing driving part 18 driving the ice crushing member 29, and a rocking driving part 28 rocking the ice making part 15. By varying a temperature of the ice making part 15, the temperature of the ice making part 15 can be controlled at a temperature suiting efficient making of transparent ice even when there is fluctuation or the like of various environmental conditions, and the transparent ice can be made in a short time.
