PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a sensor never damaged even in case of direct connection of a power source to the sensor without connecting a load. SOLUTION: This sensor comprises a sensor for sensing a change in an external physical quantity to perform ON/OFF operation contained in a casing, and is adapted to be externally connected with the power source and the load in series and used. This sensor comprises two connecting lines 21a and b to which a switching transistor Q1 is connected so as to be ON/OFF according to the ON/OFF operation of the sensor, the lines being lead out of the casing to connect the power source and the load in the outside; and a current limiting circuit composed of a transistor Q2 and a resistor R2, the circuit being connected to the transistor Q1, and limiting the current, in case of direct connection of the power source to the two connecting lines without through the load, so as not to damage the transistor Q1.
