PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To form homogeneous mixture mass in a sky of a cavity 11 by equalizing stirring up force of fuel spray to the sky of the cavity 11 irrespective of inclined arrangement of the fuel injection valve 9 in case that a fuel injection valve 9 arranged at roughly center part on an upper surface of a combustion chamber 4 and a piston 3 having a cavity 11 roughly coaxial with a center axis of fuel spray injected from the fuel injection valve 9 are provided. SOLUTION: Momentum of fuel injected in a side where distance from a fuel injection valve 9 to a wall surface of a piston cavity 11 is large is made larger than that in a side where distance from a fuel injection valve 9 to a wall surface of a piston cavity 11 is small. Concretely, a multi hole nozzle injection valve is used for a fuel injection valve 9, injection hole diameter in the side where distance to the wall surface is longer is enlarged or the number of injection holes in a unit circumference length is increased in the side where distance to the wall surface is longer.
