PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a pharmaceutical composition containing a glycoprotein hormone analog having improved stability with keeping at least a part of biological activity of the corresponding glycoprotein. SOLUTION: The glycoprotein hormone is selected from the group consisting of human chorionic gonadotropin (hCG), human lutenizing hormone (hLH), human follicle stimulating hormone (hFSH), human thyroid stimulating hormone (hTSH) and their functional variants having anα-subunit and aβ-subunit. By modifying an amino acid sequence, a disulfide bond is created between cystein in theα-subunit and cystein in theβ-subunit. The two cysteins are exposed between two residues at the position of natural cystein residue of the glycoprotein hormone and do not expose outside of the outermost cystein unit of the corresponding natural cystein. The pharmaceutical composition contains effective amount of the glycoprotein hormone and includes pharmaceutically permissible formulations. COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI
