PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a liquid ejection head capable of ejecting a plurality types of liquids having different viscosities while maintaining a stable ejection state for each of them by use of one ejection head, and its manufacturing method. SOLUTION: The liquid ejection head 24 for ejecting liquids from nozzles 52a and 52b is provided with common liquid chambers 42a and 42b for retaining the plurality types of liquids are formed, a substrate 40 in which a plurality of liquid chambers 41a and 41b communicating respectively with the common liquid chambers 42a and 42b, and the nozzles 52a and 52b respectively communicating with the liquid chambers 41a and 41b. The common liquid chambers 42a is electrically insulated from the common liquid chamber 42b, such that electrodes 44a and 44b are independently formed for the common liquid chambers 42a and 42b, respectively.
