PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent a smudging caused by a lubricant included in atransparent protective layer of a thermal recording paper from sticking onthe surface of a thermal head, and to suppress to generate unevenness oncolor developing density and luster. SOLUTION: In the thermal head 3, an exothermic resistor layer 24 isprovided on a partial glaze layer 23, and electrode layers 25 and 26 areprovided on the exothermic resistor layer 24. The first protective film 28 is formed on the electrode layer 25, and the second protective film 29 isformed on the electrode 26. The first protective layer 28 is composed of a raw material whose surface wettability with the lubricant incorporated inthetransparent protective layer of a colored thermal recording paper issuperior to that of the second protective film 29. The colored thermalrecording paper is heated while it is brought into contact with the firstprotective film 28 holding high adhesiveness. As the second protective film 29 has a low wettability with the lubricant when the colored thermal recording paper is separated from the thermal head 3, the lubricant is hardly stuck on the second protective film 29 as astain.
