PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a winding method for a magnetic tape and a device capable of winding the magnetic tap at high speed and making wound appearance better. SOLUTION: A winding hub 2 is arranged such that an axis of the winding hub 2 becomes horizontal, a first roller 50 is provided in an upstream side in a tape traveling direction of the winding hub such that the winding hub and an axis become approximately parallel and a second roller 52 is provided such that it is contacted with a tape roll 1' in which the tape is wound on the winding hub and the winding hub and an axis become approximately parallel. A third roller 54 is provided such that it presses the tape at the outermost periphery of the tape roll and the winding hub and an axis become approximately parallel and a fourth roller 56 is provided such that it is contacted with the tape roll in a downstream side of the third roller and the winding hub and an axis become approximately parallel. Thereby, winding of the magnetic tape to the tape roll is restricted. Further, the fourth roller is constituted by a shaft part; and flange parts arranged at both sides of the shaft part. A taper part is formed on an inner side surface of the flange part and a distance of the fourth roller to the tape roll is controlled so as to support the tape while preventing contact of the tape with a surface of the shaft part.
