The fastening for the motor vehicle seat on the floor of the vehicle has two locking hooks which each interacting with a retaining bolt (4,5) on the floor. The locking hooks are interconnected and held in the closed position by spring force. The locking hooks are rotationally elastically interconnected which is by a torsionable transverse rod (10). The transverse rod may be welded to the locking hooks. Each locking hook is provided with a spring element.
