<p>The invention relates to a device for clamping a workpiece mainly comprising a power cylinder (1) and a shackle (2) movable between a releasing position and a clamping position. The inventive device also comprises a guiding element (3) interacting in order to drive the shackle (2) along a rotation movement at the end of the pathway thereof towards the releasing position thereof and along a translation movement at the end of the pathway thereof to the clamping position thereof and rest elements interacting at the end of the shackle (2) pathway to the clamping position thereof in order to be mutually provided with a sliding contact in a direction which is parallel to the translation movement of the shackle (2) and remote from the guiding elements (3), thereby enabling said shackle (2) to be pressed against a clamped piece (P).</p> |
