<p>A control system for an automatic air conditioning system, e.g. in a vehicle, includes a time controlled programme which operates when the outside temperature is above a set value. A modified air conditioning programme is applied which includes a timer controlled programme which continuously monitors the inside and outside temperatures and until normal operating conditions are reached. This ensures that the air conditioning system does not over react and progressively reaches automatic control. The system includes failure detection, e.g. loss of chiller, which provides a warning for manual control.</p> |
