<p num="1"><br/><br/><br/>The invention relates to transactional analysis (100, fig. 1) for identifying <br/>obvious and nonobvious relationships between target database documents (150, <br/>fig. 1) and source database documents (130, fig. 1);. It is particularly <br/>applicable to processes for searching, analyzing and operating on <br/>transactional and historical data found in remote and disparate databases for <br/>uncovering non-obvious or fuzzy relationships between people, places and <br/>events, and finding links and dependencies that would not otherwise be <br/>identifiable within a set of data. It is a software system and method <br/>comprising receiving an autolink command by a link analysis server from an <br/>application program (1305, fig. 13), accessing a processing profile identified <br/>in the autolink command, accessing source and target document data identified <br/>in the autolink command, performing a link analysis for identifying <br/>relationships based on comparing similarity scores between target and source <br/>documents, sending a response containing a link analysis result to the <br/>application program, and saving the link analysis result in a persistence <br/>database.<br/>
