<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a power transmitting device capable of preventing abnormal abrasion of an engagement element and a cylindrical face, and the mis-engagement of the engagement element. <P>SOLUTION: This power transmitting device is provided with a cam face 7 on an outer periphery of an outer ring 1, a cylindrical face 6 on an outer periphery of an inner ring 2, and a pocket 8 on a cage 3, and the engagement element 9 is incorporated in the pocket 8. An opening edge at an inner-diameter side of the cage of the pocket 8 has a lip 10, and the engagement element 9 kept at a neutral position by the lip 10 is kept in a non-contact state to the cylindrical face 6, so that the engagement element 9 is not rotated in a contact state, even when the inner ring 2 is rotated at a high speed. Whereby the abrasion of the engagement element 9 and the cylindrical face 6 can be prevented, and the mis-engagement of the engagement element 9 with the cylindrical face 6 and the cam face 7 can be prevented. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI |
