<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enable a vehicle to smoothly pass through an exit toll booth with a vehicle-mounted automatic toll collection device that can cope with a toll settlement on a toll road to which a flat-rate system with a mileage discount is applied. <P>SOLUTION: When a vehicle-mounted ETC device 2, connected to a navigation device 1 passes through an entrance toll booth on a toll road to which a flat-rate system with a mileage discount is applied, it issues various warnings, such as a warning in the event that pulling out of an ETC card 24 is forgotten at the time of break in a service area and a parking area, and a warning, in the event that inserting of the ETC card 24 is forgotten or when it has been pulled out. The ETC device decides whether the ETC card 24 is inserted at the exit toll booth; and when the ETC card 24 has been inserted, it decides whether the inserted ECT card 24 is identical to the ETC card 24 inserted at the entrance toll booth, and executes processing for the passing through the exit toll booth, according to the respective decisions. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI</p> |
