INSPECTION METHOD OF INSULATION DISPLACEMENT TERMINAL AND INSPECTION DEVICE OF THE SAME

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an inspection method of an insulation displacement terminal and an inspection device of the same capable of surely judging the quality of an insulation displacement part before insulation displacement of a wire. SOLUTION: The inspection device 11 judges goodness or not of the insulation displacement terminal 8 fitted to a connector housing 2, and is provided with a CCD camera 87 and a control device 89. The CCD camera 87 images the insulation displacement part 16 from a direction crossing both a length direction of the wire to be pressure contacted to the terminal 8 and the surface of insulation displacement blades of the insulation displacement part 16. The control device 89 extracts inner edges of the insulation displacement blades of the insulation displacement part 16 from an image obtained to calculate a spacing between the inner edges. The control device 89 judges goodness or not of the insulation displacement terminal 8 base on the interval between the inner edges. COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI
