PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a push-button device and an operating member for the push-button device enabled to save space, while restraining generation of percussive noise and use a knob part (a button part) as an outer appearance face as it is. SOLUTION: The push-button device 1 is provided with a base plate 10, a switch 12 fitted to the base plate 10, and an operating member 14 making the switch 12 on and off. The operating member 14 is equipped with a button part 32, a switch pressing part 56 pressing the switch 12 by pressing the button part 32, a contact part 52 coming in contact with the base plate 10, at least while the switch pressing part 56 keeps on pressing the switch 12, and a hinge part 50 fitted between the button part 32 and the contact part 52. Since it is locked to a locking member 34 supporting a bottom side of the button part 32, the button part 32 is pressed, so that the button part 32 is allowed to rotate with a locking part 32a as a rotating center, and makes the switch pressing part 56 press the switch 12 on the way of its rotation.
