PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a crime prevention system which can be inexpensively constructed in a simple manner by using the system of a water heater necessarily set in a house. SOLUTION: The crime prevention system 1 is configured to detect and announce intruding operation from the outside of a building by using indoor remote controllers 20 and 20a of a water heater 10, and provided with sound sensing microphones 21 and 21a set in key points inside the building using the loudspeakers of the indoor remote controllers 20 and 20a and a monitor part 32 set in a management device 30 of the water heater 10 to which the sound sensing microphones 21 and 21a are connected. The sound sensing microphones 21 and 21a are configured to detect sounds inside the building, and to input sound information to the monitor part 32, and the monitor part 32 is provided with an input part 33 for receiving sound information from the sound sensing microphones 21 and 21a, a data part 34 for storing abnormal sounds, a determination part 35 for determining abnormality by comparing the data of the data part 34 with the sound information from the sound sensing microphones 21 and 21a, and a warning output part 36 for outputting a warning signal when any abnormality is determined by the determination part 35.
