PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method and a device capable of measuring the internal temperature of a belt, in order to grasp a symptom of an accident such as cutting of a conveyor belt caused by an abnormal temperature rise, and to monitor the internal temperature of the conveyor belt. SOLUTION: A magnetic field from a temperature-sensing rubber complex magnet buried in a required part of the conveyor belt is detected by a magnetic sensor fixed to the ground, and the temperature of the conveyor belt is determined from the magnitude of the detected magnetic field by utilizing the fact that the magnetic field is changed in dependence on the temperature of the required part.
