PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an ACC (acetyl-CoA carboxylase) activity inhibitor effective for treatment of hyperlipemia induced by obesity and fatness, abnormal glucose tolerance, diabetes, diabetic complications, hypertension and arteriosclerosis considered to be based on fatty liver and insulin tolerance. SOLUTION: An acylsulfonamide derivative represented by general formula (1), its analogue or its pharmaceutically acceptable salt has effective inhibitory actions on the ACC activity.
