PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a steering gear for a vehicle capable of reducing the torque to be applied to a moving part and a lock part of an interlocking means to be required when a fail occurs, miniaturized in a rotary member thereof, and reduced in the weight over the whole. SOLUTION: A transmission shaft 23 to be rotated by operating a steering wheel and a rotary shaft 18 to be rotated by steering wheels are provided with flange parts 40 and 43. One flange part 40 supports a moving body 41 capable of moving in the axial direction and a solenoid 42a for moving the moving body 41 at a position displaced from the axis of the transmission shaft 23, and the other flange part 43 is provided with a regulating surface 43a for regulating movement of the moving body 41 on a circle having a radius formed by displacement quantity of the moving body 41, and provided with the lock part 44 capable of locking the moving body 41 at a position recessed in comparison with the regulating surface 43a.
