Designed in two parts to hold a tubular gas generator and a gas bag, an airbag module housing (1) is separated crosswise to the tubular gas generator's longitudinal axis (3). Connecting elements (9-16) fit outside on the first (1a) and second (1b) halves of the airbag module housing so as to link these two halves together.
