<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To securely prevent toner from agglomerating on the peripheral face of a magnet roller interposed between upper and lower screw feeders. <P>SOLUTION: A developing device includes: a developing roller 60; an upper screw feeder 30 which stirs and transports a developer; a lower screw feeder 40 disposed below the upper screw feeder 30; and a scooping roller 50 disposed at an intermediate position between the upper screw feeder 30 and the lower screw feeder 40 in height. The scooping roller 50 is composed of a columnar scooping roller body 52 rotating around a scooping roller shaft 51, and a particular number of magnetic poles disposed in the circumferential direction of the scooping roller body 52.
