<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To output signature or a picture indicating a document approval, and to prohibit or permit the printing, distribution, and preservation of the approved document depending on a user. <P>SOLUTION: A document printing system includes: client devices 103, 105, 107, 109 connected via communication networks 111, 112; and printers 104, 106, 108, 110. The client devices add printing control information, including restriction information to print the document; and indication information to print a prescribed picture, to document data and transmit them.
