<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a printer which can make a time lag until the actual performance of printing less than when a power source of the printer is turned on by making the reception of data serve as a trigger, and which does not have to set a timing for turning off the power source. <P>SOLUTION: Characteristically, the printer comprises: a Bluetooth (R) module which operates independently of a printing engine part, which detects a Bluetooth connection, notifies an engine part of the connection, which detects a Bluetooth disconnection, and which notifies the printing engine part of the disconnection; and a power-ON/OFF means which automatically turns on the power source of the printer, and which turns off the power source of the printer by receiving a notification of the disconnection from the Bluetooth module. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI |
