<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To transfer an image to an image supplying apparatus using a handler even when the image supplying apparatus side has a print request list described by a file name of the image. <P>SOLUTION: After a print request file by a DPOF describing the image to be printed using the file name of the image is made and stored at a digital camera (DSC) 3012 side of an image supplying side and in the case that the digital camera 3012 is connected to a printer 1000, the printer 1000 requires the print request file. The printer 1000 extracts an image data file name in the print request file received as a result, makes a file requesting a handler of each image data, and transmits it to the DSC 3012. As a result, as the file describing a corresponding relationship between each file name and the handler is transferred from the DSC 3012, it is received.
