<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electrochemical device capable of extracting a high output from the initial stage of operation, and provide its manufacturing method and a drive method. <P>SOLUTION: The electrochemical device 2 like a fuel cell has a laminated structure composed of a first electrode 6, a second electrode 8, and an electrolyte layer 1 interposed between these electrodes, and structured so as to be driven under existence of liquid. The electrolyte layer 1 and the electrolyte in the first electrode 6 and the second electrode 8 are pre-treated by the above liquid. In the manufacturing method of the electrochemical device, the electrolyte layer 1 and the electrolyte in the first electrode 6 and the second electrode 8 are pretreated by the above liquid. In the drive method of the electrochemical device, the driving is started after pre-treating the electrolyte layer 1 and the electrolyte in the first electrode 6 and the second electrode 8 by the above liquid. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI |
