<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a fuel cell system for a mobile object capable of responding to output load variation of a system with quick response. <P>SOLUTION: This fuel cell system for a mobile object is equipped with: fuel reformers 1, 2 and 3 for generating a reformed gas formed by reforming a hydrocarbon-based fuel; and a fuel cell stack 4 for generating power by the generated reformed gas and an oxidation gas. The fuel cell system is also provided with: an exhaust gas combustion means 5 for burning an exhaust gas from the fuel cell stack 4; a material evaporation means 6 for evaporating a material used for reforming the hydrocarbon-based fuel by using combustion heat of the exhaust gas; an evaporation ability determination means 61 for determining whether the material evaporation means 6 can exert sufficient evaporation ability or not; and temperature raising means 9 and 61 for raising the temperature of the exhaust gas combustion means 5 when the material evaporation means 6 can not exert sufficient evaporation ability according to the determination result. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI |
