<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a water-based ink improving the fastness of an image formed from an ink using a water-soluble phthalocyanine dye and/or a water-soluble porphyrin dye by a simple method without impairing characteristics as an aqueous solution such as viscosity or transparency or color developing properties of the image. <P>SOLUTION: The water-based ink is characterized as follows. The water-based ink comprises at least a dye and a quaternary ammonium compound and the compound has a structure represented by general formula (I) (wherein, a, b, c, d, e and f are each≥0 to≤3 and an optional number satisfying 1≤a+d≤4; a+b+c=3 and d+e+f=3; n is an optional number of≥0 to≤50; R<SB>1</SB>, R<SB>4</SB>, R<SB>7</SB>and R<SB>8</SB>are each at least one kind of organic group selected from a 1-6C substituted or a 1-6C unsubstituted alkylene, a 1-6C substituted or a 1-6C unsubstituted alkenylene and a bivalent aromatic ring which are each the same or different; R<SB>2</SB>, R<SB>3</SB>, R<SB>5</SB>. R<SB>6</SB>, R<SB>9</SB>and R<SB>10</SB>are each at least one kind of organic group selected from a 1-6C substituted or a 1-6C unsubstituted alkyl, a 1-6C substituted or a 1-6C unsubstituted alkenyl, a 1-6C substituted or a 1-6C unsubstituted cycloalkyl, a 1-6C substituted or a 1-6C unsubstituted cycloalkenyl and an aromatic ring which are each the same or different; and X<SP>-</SP>denotes a counterion). <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI</p> |
