PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent a refrigerant shortage after heater switching in a heat pump type heating system for switching and operating a plurality of heaters. SOLUTION: The heat pump type heating system alternately switches and operates two heaters connected parallel to an outdoor unit 1, that is, an air conditioning indoor unit 16 and a hot water unit 17. For switching from heating by the indoor unit to heating by the hot water unit, the outdoor unit is once operated in a cooling operation mode, with a second valve 58 for the first heater closed, to recover a refrigerant to the outdoor unit, and after a first valve 38 for the first heater is closed, the outdoor unit is set to a heating operation mode with a first valve 42 and a second valve 62 for the second heater both opened.
