PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enhance sampling reliability of CCD imaging signal. SOLUTION: The imaging apparatus comprising an imaging device 207 outputting an imaging signal in synchronism with shift drive signals PH2B, RS and CP, a clock generating means 12i generating shift drive clocks XPH2B, XRS and XCP, and a drive means 33c for outputting the shift drive clocks to the imaging device while converting into the shift drive signals is further provided with a means 12j for regulating the phase and pulse width of the shift drive clocks. A register 12b for holding regulation data being provided to the regulation means, and means 1 and 4 for transferring the regulation data to the register are also provided.
