PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an imaging apparatus wherein power consumption can be reduced. SOLUTION: Image data are formed on the basis of an image signal outputted from a CCD image sensor 32. The formed image data are temporarily stored in an SRAM 39. The color temperature of ambient light is detected by a CPU 37 on the basis of color temperature information from a color temperature detecting sensor 51. The value R and value B of the image data consisting of values R, G and B are adjusted by a DSP 36 on the basis of the detected color temperature of the ambient light. The image data whose values R and B are adjusted are inputted into a liquid crystal panel 13. The liquid crystal panel 13 into which the image data are inputted is illuminated with the ambient light supplied from a light guide plate, and an image is displayed on the liquid crystal panel 13.
