PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a low cost sponge set having an extremely simple constitution and allowing a user to easily apply cosmetic even to a narrow portion. SOLUTION: A columnar sponge body 1 is cut into a plurality of sponge pieces X and Y by a cut surface traversing the longitudinal direction at a predetermined angle, the mutual cut surfaces are stacked together and wrapped with a cylindrical wrapping material 2 to retain the cylindrical shape before cutting, and the respective sponge pieces X and Y are individually used for the cosmetic application.
