PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for designing a printed wiring board having a plated lead added thereto, which can accurately grasp a wiring condition and to confirm that the plated lead is surely cut by outer shape processing. SOLUTION: Pattern data 100B composed of of wiring pattern data and plated lead data, and outer shape processing pattern data 100B are stored on a computer. The pattern data 100A and the outer shape processing pattern data 100B are compared and arithmetically processed. An intersection point of the pattern data 100A and the outer shape processing pattern data 100B is then obtained, and a whole network of the pattern is extracted on the assumption that the plated lead is cut at the intersection point.
