PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an arithmetic delay cycle detecting method for detecting a delay cycle until the change of an input signal is reflected on an output signal in an arithmetic operation using a computer for periodically performing an arithmetic operation based on a predetermined program to generate an output signal corresponding to an input signal. SOLUTION: The order of data in a task and the order of the performance of the arithmetic operation of functions in the task are acquired from the source list of a program, and the mismatched number is calculated from the context of the order of data and the context of the order of the performance of the arithmetic operation, and a value calculated by adding 1 to the mismatched number is set as the number of arithmetic delay cycles.
