PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a key registering device capable of increasing the privacy and security of information, a mobile terminal using it, and a method for controlling a computer. SOLUTION: Based on a predetermined operation from an operating part 12, an operation instructing part 24 causes a display part 10 to display via a display control part 22 a screen for reporting a time to start a key input as security data. The content of the key input is accepted as the security data within a predetermined period of time measured by a time measuring part 16 since the time to start the key input and is stored in a storage part 14.
