SEAL VERIFICATION DEVICE, SEAL VERIFICATION METHOD, AND SEAL VERIFICATION PROGRAM

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve accuracy in seal verification by detecting a partial difference between a verification seal shade image and a registered seal shade image. SOLUTION: A scanner 2 inputs the shade image of a seal, and a pre-processing part 4 cuts the shade image to generate a verification seal shade image. An overlapping processing part 5 reads a registered seal shade image corresponding to the verification seal shade image from a registered image storage part 6. The overlapping processing part 5 additionally generates an overlapped image by overlapping the verification seal shade image on the registered seal shade image. Then, a difference detection part 7 detects a difference part, in which the verification seal shade image does not accord with the registered seal shade image, based on the overlapped image. A mask pattern processing part 9 divides the difference part into a plurality of areas, sequentially computes a difference ratio representing the ratio of the difference part to each area, and then a determination part 8 determines whether the verification seal shade image accords with the registered seal shade image based on the difference ratio.
