PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a broadcasting program recording device capable of determining shortage in remaining capacity in the broadcasting program recording device even in a remote location, and taking appropriate measures against shortage in remaining capacity. SOLUTION: A recording device 1 transmits an electronic mail 11a for inquiry when making a reservation for recording a broadcasting program beyond space recording capacity in a recording medium 14. According to a reply mail 11b, for example, an optional or old recording program is deleted for increasing the space recording capacity in the recording medium 14, and then the recording reservation of the broadcasting program finally added to reservation information is accepted.
