PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a container for plant cultivation enabling a plant such as vegetables or flowering plant to be surely prevented from undergoing damage due to insect pests. SOLUTION: The container for plant cultivation has the following construction: The top face is openable( provided with an opening 12A ), there is furnished a base container 12 capable of accommodating a cultivation vessel 40 planted with a plant therein, wherein the opening 12A is openably mounted on the base container 12, and there is provided a protective member 20 having optical transparency, air permeability and insect-proofing function, wherein the protective member 20 is constituted of a meshy net capable of blocking insect pest passage therethrough, a victoria lawn or a nonwoven fabric.
