<p>It is possible to automatically judge a scene and obtain an optimal print in accordance with the scene. A person face is detected in an input image to determine whether a person is present. When no person is detected, it is judged that the image is a landscape. When a person is present, the face area is calculated and the number of persons is counted. When the face area is not smaller than a predetermined ratio of the image and the number of persons is greater than a predetermined value, the image is judged to be a person/commemorative photo. When the face area is not smaller than the predetermined ratio of the image and the number of persons is not greater than the predetermined value, the image is judged to be a portrait.</p> |
